Season - Fall/Winter '18

Toogood — Fall/Winter 2018

In their presentation space, sisters Faye and Erica Toogood encouraged viewers to explore their scene, brought to life by the minimal interiors that spoke reference to the natural materials of the earth. By performing a re-structure of layers for the winter season, the connection between the clothes that we shield our structures in and the simple products of the world combine to work in equilibrium – ever-changing, evolving and re-interpreting their uses.

An earthy palette of pale slate, moss green, brick red and charcoal together sculpted silhouettes, embraced by each model as they adopted the form of the interiors, decorated by paint and acting as one with the exhibition space. Handmade buttons and felt details embellished the designs, each formed and woven by sustainable sources, standing as a statement to the continuously changing fashion industry.
